Install Overview

Most 1962–1979 Nova carpet installs follow a similar process:

• Remove seats, sill plates, lower trim and seat belts; keep hardware organized.

The default pattern is 2-door, bucket seat, with console. If your car has a bench seat, no console, different shifter location or is a 4-door, email us before ordering so we can confirm the correct pattern and pricing for your configuration.

Why choose molded carpet instead of universal?

A molded, vehicle-specific Nova carpet kit fits tighter, looks more factory and saves a lot of time compared with trimming universal flat carpet. The difference is obvious around the transmission tunnel, toe boards and under the seats.

Do I still need sound deadener with Mass Back?

Mass Back adds a substantial sound and heat barrier under the carpet. You can add more deadener if you want an especially quiet cabin, but avoid stacking so much material that the carpet becomes difficult to seat around brackets and mounts.

Can I order a different material or unique setup?
